Discontinuation of Gazette

2001 Gazettes

In light of what's gone on with the Gazette (the printer going out of business, really hurting us financially), and because we are a small club with very limited funds, this has put us on the brink of bankruptcy. We are trying to regroup now, but it's not looking good for continuation of a publication at this time. If you have a subscription to the Gazette, we are offering to fill it with back issues (they all are full of great info!).

Email to find out how many issues you have left on your subscription and then visit the merchandise section to see the complete list of back issues available and email your request to us (please be sure to include your full name). We will be happy to send them out to you right away.

The RMCA won't cease to exist. We will be concentrating more on our web community of rat and mouse lovers, and will continue to offer new articles on the web as we've done in the past. Our Forums are now available, as our the Virtual Squeaks Cards, and we have other fun web site enhancements planned for the future.

Thanks,

More Printing Problems

2001 Gazettes

The Jan/Feb and Mar/Apr issues that the printer has had for months have not been finished. The printer has apparently gone out of business without notifying us and didn't even have the courtesy to refund our money or send back the Gazette computer disks. We're trying to regroup now and will let everyone know when we are back in production.

Thanks for your patience,
Mary Ann

More Printing Problems

2001 Gazettes

Due to significant difficulties with this printer we regret to say that recent issues of the Gazette have been at the printer waiting to be printed for several months. We are trying to obtain quotes from other printers that will do a more expedient job for future issues. We ask that our loyal RMCA members please bear with us during this time.

Printing Problems

Nov/Dec 2000

Rat & Mouse Gazette wishes to apologize sincerely for the quality (and lateness) of the November/December 2000 issue. Our printer has been going through some rough times trying to get his new system working properly which has been delaying our magazines, but he has also been putting our work on the back-burner in favor of higher paying clients. In regards to the quality of the November/December issue:

  1. The printer chose to photocopy some of the inside covers because he was "short."
  2. He failed to notify me that many of the photographs were printing out very light (they printed fine on my computer), nor did he try to remedy the situation.
  3. He failed to notify me that the logo for "CyberRat" was missing from the computer disk and printed the magazine without it.
  4. He made a mistake and had to reprint two pages of the magazine, but used a different shade of white paper to print them on.
All of these mistakes resulted in a very unprofessional looking publication, in my opinion, and I have had a serious talk with the printer. The January/February and March/April issues are being printed right now and will be a final test for him. Please keep your fingers crossed that he does a good job and we won't have to go searching for a new printer.
